Dear Parents,
As we approach Spring Break next week, I wanted to update you on the events we have scheduled throughout the rest of the school year.

April 4 (Tuesday) 6:00PM,  Brown MS Gym - Spring Concert - ALL BANDS - Students will need to wear their formal performance attire (BLACK dress shoes, socks and pants, WHITE dress shirt)

April 11 (Tuesday) Time TBA - EPISD Concert Band and Sight Reading Contest, Coronado HS.  This is for our SYMPHONIC (Contest)  band ONLY.  The schedule for this contest has not yet posted, but we will most likely be taking buses during the middle of the school day.  Students will again need to wear their formal performance attire.

April 29 (Saturday) TBA - UTEP BEGINNING Band Festival/Contest - Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall, UTEP - The schedule for this contest has not yet been released but I will alert you to it as soon as I have it.  We will be taking buses from Brown MS to this event.  Students will need to wear their formal performance attire (BLACK dress shoes, socks and pants, WHITE dress shirt).

May 18 (Thursday) - Superior BEGINNING Band Festival, Western Playland - we will be busing to this event from school and returning by the end of the school day.  Our performance time is 1:30 PM.  Students will need to wear their band shirt and jeans with tennis shoes to this event.  As this is a very expensive entry for the band we will be taking up a collection of $20 per student during the month of April for this event (Band Boosters will cover the remainder).

May 23 (Tuesday) 6:30PM - End of Year Concert - FRANKLIN HS - ALL BANDS.  Students should DRESS UP (Sunday Best) for this concert.  They will also most likely need to bring their own portable music stands.

May 25 (Thursday) Time TBA - End of Year dinner and dance for the Brown MS Fine Arts Dept. - ALL Concert/Symphonic Band Students - Grace Gardens.  Details are forthcoming but students WILL need to dress up for this event as well.

As we approach the end of the year I will be sending out information regarding the Summer Band program  (HINT - ALL students [even 8th graders] will be eligible to attend!)

Many students have been inquiring about the Spring T-Shirt/Socks orders - they should be in soon, I will let you know ASAP.

EPISD has approved the Brown Middle School Band Booster Club. All parents are encouraged to join with a membership fee of $25 perfamily and includes the band shirt. Please download the membership formfrom the Documents Folder. 
Membership fees and fundraisers organized by the Band Booster Club are used to support the band program with:
