Welcome to 7th Grade Science!
Throughout this course we will engage in hands-on activities and direct investigation. We will learn to observe and describe events, manipulate objects and systems, and identify patterns in nature. Students will explore scientific concepts, engage in problem solving, and develop scientific habits of mind.
Students are expected to come prepared to class, participate in classroom activities and discussions, consistently follow lab safety procedures, classroom procedures, and policies mandated by the school and El Paso Independent School District. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

Students will be required to complete their Science Project by the end of the Fall semester, and ALL students are highly encouraged to present their project at our school's Science Fair for extra points which will take place on January 12th. Winners will move on to the District Fair on January 21st at UTEP. I will send out information on project guidelines and criteria soon. Go to sites.google.com/site/hornedoscience of more information.
