Welcome to 7th Grade Science! 

Throughout this course we will engage in hands-on activities and direct investigation. We will learn to observe and describe events, manipulate objects and systems, and identify patterns in nature. Students will explore scientific concepts, engage in problem solving, and develop scientific habits of mind.

Students are expected to come prepared to class, participate in classroom activities and discussions, consistently follow lab safety procedures, classroom procedures, and policies mandated by the school and El Paso Independent School District. Science Project


Students will be required to complete their Science Project by the end of the Fall semester, and ALL students are highly encouraged to present their project at our school's Science Fair for extra points which will take place on January 12th. Winners will move on to the District Fair on January 21st at UTEP. I will send out information on project guidelines and criteria soon. Parents: All students received a Lab Safety Contract at the beginning of the year, if you didn't receive it from your child, please print a copy (under Downloads in my Weebly site, the link is not the left), sign, and send it to me. Thanks.

ssSOCIAL STUDIES CLASS 

Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies! Throughout this course we will study the history, geography, and diversity of Texas. Students will learn about the importance of civic participation and leadership, as well as, the impact of science and technology on society. We will engage in research, discussion, and apply critical thinking skills to learn about issues and events surrounding the history of Texas.

Students are expected to consistently come prepared to class, participate in discussions, follow classroom procedures, and policies mandated by the school and El Paso Independent School District. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
